4 Ways to Test What You Believe in Your Subconscious Mind
The majority of our belief systems are stored at a subconscious level. You can change some beliefs consciously by upgrading your knowledge
When you were a child, for example, you didn’t have to use any subconscious change processes to update your beliefs about Father Christmas, the Easter bunny or the earth being flat.
But…
As an adult, the belief programs you are running about your sense of self, your view of the world, how successful you can be and pretty much everything else, are more or less fixed unless you change them at a subconscious level.
Letting Your Body Talk for You: Kinesiology
The most effective way to find out whether you believe something at the root subconscious level
Kinesiology is the study of how the body, and especially the muscles, move.
Science now tells us that unresolved emotional conflicts, psycho-emotional trauma and limiting beliefs from early childhood and beyond remain active in our subconscious mind throughout adult life, and our limbic system (a core emotional centre of the brain that deals with motivation, behaviour, etc.) communicates these conflicts and beliefs to our body via our autonomic nervous system.
Your Autonomic Nervous System is your Subconscious System.
It controls the involuntary actions of your movements via your smooth muscles, among other body structures and organs. Our muscles and other fibrous tissues, such as connective tissue, are major storehouses of these energetic imprints.
When there
Maybe you blush.
Maybe you stammer.
Maybe your stomach tightens.
Maybe you feel fear or anxiety.
Maybe you do any of the other things that reveal there is a disconnect between your conscious desires and subconscious reactions – showing as a stress response.
The fact is that some way or another, stress results from the conflict that is taking place within you, and it is registered in your body.
Kinesiology
The collision between our subconscious and conscious minds literally weakens us as electrical signals become less ordered and efficient, resulting in reduced muscle strength.
Complete agreement between your subconscious and conscious minds equals a strong muscle response, whereas a deep disconnect between the two equals a weak muscle response.
To test a muscle, you have only to hold a belief in mind and then test your muscle response. It’s that easy. And that’s why muscle testing has become the ideal tool to obtain feedback concerning the state of arousal of a person’s nervous system.
Muscle testing was first bought to the West more than forty years ago by Dr. George Goodheart, the founder of Applied Kinesiology. Over the years, it has been adopted as a quick and effective diagnostic tool by medical doctors, chiropractors, osteopaths, dentists, psychologists, nutritionists, massage therapists and others.
Validation of this kind of muscle testing was demonstrated by Dr. Daniel Monte and colleagues, with their findings reported in the Journal of Perceptual and Motor Skills in 1999.
Theirs is a technical explanation, so here I will conclude by sharing a more accessible explanation from Professor William Tiller, an esteemed scientist
‘Kinesiology is a type of biofeedback utilizing muscle responses to detect stressors within the body. Kinesiology uses manual monitoring of specific muscles which may lock and hold strong or unlock and give away to determine chemical or other energetic imbalances of stressors, not only within the muscles themselves but also within interfacing subconscious body systems. These systems include not only the generally recognized autonomic and proprioceptive feedback of the nervous system, but also the subconscious emotional and mental processes underlying our feelings and thoughts’.
The 4 tests in this video are:
Testing with a partner.
Two self-testing methods using muscle testing.
A self-testing method using your instant gut feel.
Whichever you use, test yourself on these and see if you believe them deep down in your subconscious mind:
It is safe for me to change.
I thrive with change.
These are not the sexiest or most exciting beliefs, BUT they are THE most important!
(More on this in another post.)
Test these:
It is safe for me to be rich and wealthy
All parts of me are ready, willing and able to be rich and wealthy.
I can make all the money I want doing a job that I love.
…
It is my natural birth-right to be successful.
It is my destiny to be successful.
All parts of me are ready, willing and able to be successful.
…
I deserve the very best that life has to offer.
I deeply appreciate and accept myself.
I deserve to be loved by (specific name
The reality is if you do not believe these examples deep down then you are limited. Part of you is going the wrong way and that isn’t helping you…
When you have a subconscious / conscious conflict life is harder than it needs to be.
Updating your subconscious mind to be alignment with your conscious goals and desires is the most effective way to be able to live your life where you can do more, be more and have more, whatever that means to you…

Our beliefs create and control our perceptions. The way we perceive the world drives our emotional responses to events and interactions, which in turn governs the actions we take and ultimately has a large effect on the outcome of events and interactions.
A lack of self-belief in any area of your life can lead to the feelings of anxiousness among many other negative emotions.
Integrating new positive beliefs and thinking patterns into your subconscious mind makes a huge difference to your day to day
